silver.solutions develops mobile app for the eZ Conference

Overview

silver.solutions had published a free App with appointments and information relating to the eZ Conference for the participants in the conference. It was the aim this time to revise the design of the app and to implement a number of new functions.

The solution in detail

The Titanium software by Appcelerator has again been applied as development platform for the application, which provides Apps both for mobile devices with Apple iOS as well as for the Android platform with manageable effort. The contents are being administered in the CMS and are being delivered from there as feeds to the App.

The clear division between content and layout in Ibexa Content offers the opportunity to use contents quickly and easily for several channels and also to optimize them automatically.

Like last year, both appointments as well as additional information may be added to the favourites and are thus easily accessible any time. Data are filed locally in a database and, after an initial synchronisation, are also available without WLAN or mobile phone network.

What is new this year is the direct Twitter linking. All tweets marked with the tag #ezconf can be seen in the App. Visitors can directly see at a glance in the App which topics are currently being, and can be, discussed in the eZ Community.

 

The result

Based on last year’s developments the App has been optically revised and greatly improved especially in details. Direct Twitter linking allows a stronger networking in the Community and a higher visibility of the Conference in the social networks.
